Private Guided Tours:

 

The daily rate is for up to 9 hours and includes:

• Itinerary planning,

• Up to 9 hour working day beginning between 0800 & 0900hrs, ending around 1700 & 1800hrs.

• Vehicle & associated costs.

• Professional driver/guide services.

• Taxes.

 

Any hours exceeding the 9 hour daily rate will be charged at the hourly rate.

 

Chauffer Drive:

​

The hourly rate includes:

• Fully prepared vehicle

• Knowledgeable and suited chauffeur driver

• All associated costs i.e. fuel, insurances, taxes

• bottled water

• professional door to door service

 

Currency:

​

All quotes and transactions are in £ GBP.

 

Airport Parking Charges:

​

Parking charges are an additional cost to any quoted transfer, with any unforeseen delays or extended waiting cost being added to client invoice.

 

Entrance fees:

​

Entrance to paid venues or attractions etc. are not included in the daily rate or tour fee.

 

Ferry:

​

Any sailing costs to island or boat trips are not included in the daily rate or tour fee.

 

Insurance:

Crosby & Bruce strongly recommends that passengers arrange for themselves suitable travel, medical, and cancellation insurance.

 

Deposit:

 

All deposits are non-refundable. A non refundable 20% deposit will be taken to secure your tour dates. The deposit covers around 8 hours of work to prepare your itinerary. The cost of the deposit will be deducted from the final balance.

 

Final Balance:

​

Final balance is payable no less than one month prior to travel on all advanced bookings.

 

Payment Methods:

• Bank Transfer (Bacs)

• IBAN/OBAN Transfers

• PayPal – Most credit/debit cards are accepted.

• Zettle secure link payment. Operated by PayPal.

 

Overseas payments:

May attract bank charges (these are approx. £7-£10 from European countries & £10- £15 from Non European countries) which must be met by the guest.

 

Full Day Tours: 

​

On day tours lasting more than 9 hours, a supplementary payment for each additional hour may be payable at the rate of £85 per hour.

 

Half Day Custom Tours: 

​

On any half day tours lasting more than 5 hours, or ending after 13.00hrs, a supplementary payment for each additional hour may be payable at the rate of £85 per hour.

 

Extended Tours: 

​

A daily allowance to cover the guides accommodation and evening meal will be covered by the guest. This cost will be written into the quote alongside the daily rate.

 

Overtime work and expenses:

​

To be negotiated prior to the start date of the tour.

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

​

• Cancellation 1 month or more prior to secured travel date will result in 75% refund of full fee.

• Cancellation over 15 days but less than 1 month prior to travel date will result in 50% refund.

• Cancellation within 15 days prior to travel date will result in no refund.

 

Luggage Policy:

​

• Luggage is conveyed at the owners’ own risk.

• Guests are limited to one medium to large sized suitcase per person.

• Any additional luggage not declared during the booking process will only taken at the drivers discretion.

 

Child Seats:

Crosby & Bruce does not provide child seats on our tours. It is the legal responsibility of guests travelling with children to provide child seats for a travelling child that complies with current Scottish legislation. https://www.gov.uk/child-car-seats-the-rules

 

Age Restrictions Policy:

​

• Crosby & Bruce does not carry children under the age of 5 years old.

• Tours that involve Whisky Distilleries require a minimum of 18 years old at time of travel.

• All extended tours require a minimum age of 8 years old at time of travel.

 

Liability:

Crosby & Bruce cannot accept liability for losses or additional expenses incurred due to delays or change in transportation (air, rail, sea or other services), technical problems to transport, sickness, disease, weather, industrial action, or other causes which are out with our control.

Should Crosby & Bruce have to cancel your booking for unforeseen reasons any monies already received will be refunded in full.

 

Crosby & Bruce will not accept liability for any expenses over and above this.

In the event of the guide allocated to you becoming unavailable we will find you a suitable professional guide to accompany you.
